The Fringed Boot - Inspired by Isabel Marant
For today’s post I decided to focus on one of my favorite fall footwear trends as well as one of my favorite designers. Over the past few years, Isabel Marant has truly established herself as one of the most talked about designers in fashion. Women all around the world find themselves completely enamored with Marant’s Parisian cool-girl aesthetic. Her Fall 2011 show featured unexpected patchwork denim, deconstructed knits, navaho embroidered jeans and awesome silk dresses. My favorite part of the collection however, were the over-the-top slouchy fringed boots. Shown in white, grey, and black, the boots proved their versatility by working seamlessly with all 42 looks on the runway.
What’s great about fringed boots is that they add an effortless cool-factor to pretty much any outfit. While footwear like these Isabel Marant stunners are not for the faint of heart, I am happy to tell you that there are tons of other great options out there for those of you who want to incorporate a little fringe into your look.

Both Emmanuelle Alt and Kate Lanphear chose to use black fringe to add some unexpected texture to their all-black ensembles. They represent a more sophisticated take on the trend. At the other end of the spectrum, Kourney Kardashian and Lauren Conrad show that fringe can be just as cute when worn in a more casual way. The it girls’ Minnetonka boots add a little bit of interest and fun to their everyday looks.

Now, when it comes to purchasing your own fringed footwear I have a few suggestions. I would say that the most wearable take on the Marant boots are these awesome ones from Zara which come in both black and beige. As far as a more casual look goes, I recently purchased these shearling-lined moccasin booties from J.Crew and absolutely love them! You can also pick up Lauren and Kourtney’s exact pair of boots here.
Below I have included even more fun fringed options for you to browse through. Enjoy!
